Iranian TV Airs Simulated Stike on Israel
Subtlety has never been one of Iran’s redeeming qualities. In their latest attempt at propaganda to strike fear in the hearts of Israelis and to promote national patriotism, Iranian state television aired a one-hour documentary about how they would respond if Israel strikes their nuclear weapons plants.
Of course, they don’t have nuclear weapons plants… if you ask them. They want nuclear technology for peaceful reasons only. This is a farce that only the naive in the international community is willing to accept, but that’s their story and they’re sticking to it.
The video starts with inspiring music and seems much like the videos played on televisions throughout the USSR during the Cold War, only not quite as sophisticated even 30 years later. They depict Tel Aviv and other locations around Israel fighting off some of the missiles coming from Iran with their missile defense system, but not all of them. The results were very powerful strikes (though the explosions were barely larger than the missiles themselves) that would cripple Israel.
Here’s the video. It may make you laugh. It may make you cry.
