Is Michele Bachmann Good for End Times Watchers?
The question has nothing to do with her faith. It has nothing to do with her beliefs. It is all about her place in this world as an insider in Washington DC.
Some would say that having those in power believing that we are in the End Times is a benefit and in many ways it is. However, politicians are polarizing by nature and often as part of their jobs. It’s for this reason that Bachmann’s efforts should not be as a watcher warning people about the end times but as a champion of the Bible prompting people to pick up the Scripture and finding their way to become believers in Jesus Christ.
The challenges that arise when someone like Bachmann starts associating world events with the end times is that their words are scrutinized, their facts are checked, and one misstep can send the whole premise reeling in the minds of someone who may have otherwise been touched. When the story of her discussion of the End Times and Bible Prophecy first surfaced on the Huffington Post, the story focused on proving her facts wrong, not about her beliefs.
They circled around a single comment, the premise of the portion of the interview below, that said that President Obama was sending weapons to terrorists. At its core, it’s true, but there was enough gray area to allow the liberal mainstream media to denounce it.
Later, The Atlantic Wire pushed further to connect her belief in prophecy with her policies as a politician.
Here is a portion of the interview. Do you believe that Bachmann would best serve both God as well as the concept that we’re living in the end times if she would simply let it go and focus on being a good disciple and leader?
