…and they’re probably right, but it doesn’t matter.

Not to sound cold or callous, but the former Chairman of the PLO has been dead for nearly a decade and they’re still trying to pin it on the Israelis who they claim poisoned him with radioactive polonium. This is no longer a question of murder versus natural causes. It’s an attempt to build up international outrage and implicate Israel as an excuse for actions against the country.

If they murdered him, then we may or may not ever find out. If they didn’t murder him, then the speculation will remain that they did. It’s a lose-lose situation for them at this point, but the international community will continue to probe until they can prove that he was murdered or until they can get enough conspiracy theorists in the United States and Europe to believe it.

Tawfik Tirawi, the head of the committee, said at a news conference here that Israel was the “first, fundamental, and only suspect” in what he described as an assassination, though he did not provide any evidence to back that up.
