Volvo Hops on Apple CarPlay Trend Before It Gets Overplayed
Several manufacturers have jumped on the Apple CarPlay bandwagon, but Volvo has taken a particularly bold leap into the new technology to show proper integration with the next big automotive technology.
Their focus is on the things they believe drivers will want the most: phone, music, maps, and messages.
“CarPlay is going to make a lot of things that are a challenge in the car much easier,” said Vince Holliday from Smythe Volvo. “It’s exciting to see it in action.”
That action takes place in the form of videos that the Swedish automaker has released on their YouTube channel.
“Apple’s clean and intuitive user interface is a perfect match with Volvo’s Scandinavian Design approach and our focus on fluid functionality,” Volvo Car Group president and CEO Håkan Samuelsson said.
